HAL B. CLARK

Hal is a principal at CSDG and leads the landscape architecture/planning group. He is responsible for the design and management of projects ranging from single-and multi-family residential projects to large-scale master planned communities in both the U.S. and internationally. With more than 20 years of experience, Hal’s specific expertise is creating master planned and mixed-use communities, contributing to all phases of project design and development. Among his strongest attributes are his passion, energy, capacity for creative problem-solving, and ability to manage multi-disciplinary design teams to create projects with a special identity and unique character. A partial list of Hal’s notable projects includes oneC1TY, Southall Farm & Inn, Grande Dunes (Myrtle Beach, SC), and Nashville’s River North. Hal is an active member of the Tennessee Economic Development Council and has served on several boards of directors including the Nashville Civic Design Center and Nashville District Council of the Urban Land Institute. He received a Bachelor of Science in landscape architecture from Mississippi State University and a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the University of Tennessee.
