CSDG Named Neighborhood Planting Captain for Root Nashville Initiative

CSDG is the first business to serve as a Neighborhood Planting Captain through Root Nashville, a city-wide effort to plant 500,000 trees across Davidson County by 2050. As the captain for Berry Hill and the Nolensville corridor, we’re helping connect local businesses, residents, and property owners with free trees—focusing on putting the right tree in the right place.

Berry Hill has long been dominated by asphalt and limited green space, making it a clear priority for this work. With plenty of opportunities for growth, we’re starting here, helping build a healthier, more resilient urban environment.

This partnership also supports future efforts in the area, like Depave, a project led by the Cumberland River Compact that reclaims paved areas for community green space.
