CSDG is proud to be the first business to serve as a Neighborhood Planting Captain through Root Nashville, a city-wide campaign to plant 500,000 trees across Davidson County by 2050. As the designated captain for Berry Hill and the Nolensville corridor, we’re helping connect local businesses, residents, and property owners with free trees—focusing on putting the right tree in the right place.
Berry Hill has long been dominated by asphalt and limited green space, making it a natural priority for this work. With so much potential for transformation, we’re starting here—supporting a healthier, more resilient urban environment.
This initiative also lays the groundwork for future efforts in the area, such as Depave, a project led by the Cumberland River Compact to transform paved areas into community green spaces.
Interested households can receive up to 3 free trees. Click here to complete the tree request form by August 30, 2025.
