CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – CSDG is strengthening its established civil engineering presence in Chattanooga with the addition of Brad Polanco, PE, who will lead the firm’s local civil engineering team and support its continued growth across the region.
For the past two years, CSDG’s Chattanooga office has delivered civil engineering, landscape architecture, and planning services through close collaboration between its locally based professionals and civil engineering teams across the firm. Polanco’s addition builds on that foundation, bringing experienced local leadership, established relationships, and additional capacity to serve Chattanooga-area clients.

The Chattanooga office has already contributed to a growing portfolio of work for clients and organizations including Siskin Hospital, Rock City, A. Perry Homes, Trust for Public Land, Tennessee State Parks, the Montessori School, and the Maclellan Foundation, as well as projects such as Ruby Falls Office Headquarters, Still Hollow, Chattanooga Football Club, and Provident Place. Polanco’s addition further strengthens CSDG’s ability to build on this work, deepen local relationships, and pursue opportunities in new markets.
A Chattanooga-based civil engineer, Polanco brings experience leading commercial, healthcare, industrial, residential, institutional, and parks and recreation projects. His background includes civil design, land development, entitlement and permitting coordination, construction administration, client relationship management, business development, and staff mentorship. Licensed in Tennessee, Georgia, and South Carolina, he has worked with clients and project teams throughout the Southeast to navigate complex site, infrastructure, and regulatory challenges.
“Brad’s addition represents an important next step for our Chattanooga office,” said Kyle Jacobson, PLA, who leads CSDG’s Chattanooga office. “We have already established a strong foundation of civil engineering work in this market, and Brad brings the local leadership, relationships, and technical experience to help us build on that momentum. Having landscape architecture, civil engineering, and planning expertise working together locally allows us to approach projects more comprehensively, coordinate more efficiently, and create a more connected experience for our clients.”
In his role at CSDG, Polanco will provide leadership for the firm’s Chattanooga civil engineering team while supporting client relationships, staff development, business development, and expansion into new markets. He will work closely with the office’s landscape architecture and planning professionals, as well as team members across CSDG’s Nashville and Clarksville offices, to align technical requirements with each project’s broader vision.

Polanco earned both a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. His continued involvement in the Chattanooga community includes serving on UTC’s Civil Engineering Advisory Board and his recent appointment to the City of Chattanooga Stormwater Regulations Board. He also mentors emerging professionals through the Architecture, Construction and Engineering Mentor Program.
“Chattanooga is the community I call home, and I am excited to continue serving clients and building relationships here as part of CSDG,” said Polanco. “CSDG has already established a strong foundation of civil engineering work in the region, and I look forward to building on that momentum alongside our local team and colleagues across the firm.”
Polanco’s addition reinforces CSDG’s commitment to Chattanooga and strengthens the firm’s ability to serve area clients through an integrated, locally connected team. As the office continues to grow, CSDG remains focused on building lasting relationships and delivering thoughtful solutions that respond to the needs of each client, site, and community.
