The site for Caption by Hyatt is approximately 0.45 acres and is located at the corner of 12th Avenue South and McGavock Street. As a redevelopment, CSDG worked with the project team, coordinating with Metro on permits and approval for site and infrastructure improvements. The 12-story building includes a below-grade 4 level parking garage, 210 guest rooms, fitness center, and meeting rooms with an outdoor terrace. The main floor features a lobby and lounge, Caption by Hyatt's signature cafe, the "Talk Shop", a convenience market, and separate restaurant space. Construction on the hotel began in the summer of 2023.
