Still Hollow

Chattanooga, TN

Planned as Chattanooga’s first agrihood, Still Hollow is an intentional residential community designed to bring together land stewardship, wellness, and neighborhood living while preserving the site’s natural character.

At the center of the community, gardens and shared open spaces act as the primary organizing element. Rather than functioning as amenities, they shape the layout, creating a natural gathering place where residents connect with the land and with each other. Trails and pedestrian connections extend from this core, establishing a walkable framework that guides movement throughout the neighborhood.

The landscape design supports the rhythms of everyday life. Walkable paths, integrated open spaces, and thoughtfully arranged homesites encourage daily routines such as walking, gathering, and spending time outdoors. Each element works together to create a cohesive living environment that balances activity, connection, and moments of privacy.

This approach reflects how landscape architecture can shape more than a site. It creates functional, people-centered environments that support healthy living, foster community interaction, and strengthen the relationship between residents and the natural landscape.

CSDG partnered on the site and landscape vision from early concept design through final renderings, helping bring this agrihood community in Chattanooga to life.
