West Riverfront Park and Ascend Amphitheater

Transforming the site of a former thermal plant, West Riverfront Park and Ascend Amphitheater marked the first phase of Nashville’s riverfront redevelopment. Key features include the 1.5-acre amphitheater with seating for 6,000, redevelopment along 1st Avenue, more than a mile of multi-use greenway trails, Nashville’s first downtown dog park, and ornamental gardens.

CSDG contributed to the project’s initial planning, providing civil engineering and planning services that helped shape this award-winning, LEED Gold–certified destination.
